Charlie Day
Charlie Day’s years as an actor, writer, producer, and director in both film and television has garnered him a loyal following among critics and fans all over the world. Day became a household name for his role as Charlie Kelly on “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia'' for which he also writes and executive produces. He developed the show in collaboration with friends and co-producers Rob McElhenney and Glenn Howerton with whom he also co-created Four Walls Irish American Whiskey. “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” is TV’s longest-running live-action sitcom and just wrapped production on season 17. With Rob McElhenney and Megan Ganz, he also created the Apple TV+ series “Mythic Quest.” Day is best known for his roles in HORRIBLE BOSSES, I WANT YOU BACK, PACIFIC RIM, THE LEGO MOVIE, FOOL'S PARADISE, VACATION, THE HOLLARS, FIST FIGHT, PACIFIC RIM: UPRISING, GOING THE DISTANCE, MONSTERS UNIVERSITY, THE LEGO MOVIE 2, HOTEL ARTEMIS AND SUPER MARIO BROTHERS. Day began his acting career onstage and participated in the Williamstown Theater Festival for four years. He went on to play the lead role in Dead End at the Huntington Theater in Boston. Day was born in the Bronx, New York, and grew up in Rhode Island. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, and their son.
